About Approved Services
We are the emergency response team for CWK, RDCO, FortisBC, AIM Roads, District of Peachland, Traders Cove Water, and Casa Loma Utilities. Our services include mechanical and hydro excavation. We collaborate with builders on projects such as digging foundations, installing utilities, and providing backfill. Our expertise extends to the installation and replacement of water lines, sanitary sewer connections, and pit meters. With a certified ROWP on staff, we are equipped to install septic systems and drywells, as well as to install, service, and jet catch basins.
Additionally, we are contracted by AIM Roads for the cleaning of catch basins and flumes from Osoyoos to Vernon, as well as along Highway 33 to Big White and Highway 97C to the Pennask Summit
Our History
1976
The first generation, Tom Richardson, started the company in 1976 with a single truck and backhoe.
1983
In 1983 his son, Steve, joined the company full time and the business grew in size and reputation.
2005
In 2005, Steve and his wife took over full operation and grew the company to what it is today.
2024
Currently the third generation, Steve's son Alex and his wife, are taking the reins to continue serving the community going forward striving to continue the company's reputation for speedy, reliable and affordable service.
